33 Weeks!

OMG ya'll. I am freaking HUGE! I just looked through my Baby Page album on Facebook and compared how big I was 5 weeks ago compared to now and it's like night and day. I'm fairly certain I could have dressed up as the Goodyear Blimp for Halloween and been pretty convincing. I guess when you're 5'1" the baby has no where else to go but out! Here's the run down for 33 weeks!

Pregnancy Stats:

How Far Along: 33 1/2 weeks

Size of baby: Honeydew

Total Weight Gain: Current Weight: 153... holy moly. Yeah that's 32 lbs. I may have overdone it on the snacks.

Gender: I have been feeling "boy" lately, but it's still about half and half. Casey still feels like it's going to be a girl.

Movement: Currently watching my belly bounce up and down. This little guy/girl moves CONSTANTLY which is really nice for me because I don't have to worry about doing kick counts - it's kicking around all the time! I will say that this kid is SUPER strong and can really hurt me sometimes. I had to physically remove it's foot from my rib cage the other day because I thought it was going to break my rib. He/she is a hulk!

Sleep: Puppies are still getting booted off the bed nightly and I am getting so much awesome sleep. Still loving my Snoogle...

What I miss: Still missing running, but this week I am missing my extensive shoe collection. It's to the point where I can't comfortable wear any closed toe shoes so I'm down to about 3 pairs of work appropriate shoes and flip flops the rest of the time. I'm really hoping that my ligaments are just stretched a little and that I will go back to my happy size 7 1/2 foot after Baby P is born.

Cravings: Cereal, milk, asian food, SUBWAY!

Symptoms: Tons of Braxton Hicks contractions and today SUPER back aches..

Maternity Clothes: Having to buy a few things here and there because I'm outgrowing everything. :(


Best Moment this week: My baby shower that was this past Saturday and my maternity photos taken by my wonderful best friend Sara Baker! I loved having my wonderful friends and family in town. I love my life! Oh and a bonus of the maternity photos - I got an early "push" gift- a Canon Rebel T3!!!! Finally a digital SLR so I can practice my photography skills without wasting film! YAY! I love my hubby!

Birdie Themed Baby Shower!

Last weekend my wonderful friend Andi and my amazing Mother in Law, and two Sisters in Law threw me a super cute bird themed baby shower! It was SO great to have all of my friends in town to visit and Aunt Lorie and Uncle Ed even came in from New York! I got tons of great stuff for Baby P and lots of love from all of the most important people in my life. I am truly blessed with an amazing family and friends. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Nursery News

Update on the nursery - it's getting closer to being finished every day now! This weekend Casey and I bought this dresser from Ikea and FINALLY got some space to start putting things away. Here are some pictures of the nursery in it's current state:




Left to do this week:

• Hang the paper lantern puffball things I made this summer
• Hang shelving for book wall
• Hang the few pieces of wall art/shelves we have
• Get a slipcover for the ugly/amazingly comfortable chair.

Pumpkin Carving

Here are pictures from our two days of Pumpkin festivities! We spent Friday night hanging out at Aunt Jackie and Uncle Greg's for their carving party and then Saturday we took our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch followed by pumpkin carving with friends at our place. Oddly enough Casey and I didn't carve any pumpkins this year - we were too busy socializing I guess!

Baby Page's 3D/4D Ultrasound!

This weekend we went home to Longview for two reasons:

1. My family was throwing me a baby shower!

2. We had an appointment to see our sweet baby's face at Early View Ultrasound.


If you are considering getting a 3D/4D ultrasound, but aren't sure if it's worth the money, let me just say - it is. IT IS, IT IS, IT IS!! Casey was actually trying to pay MORE for the Ultrasound than they were charging us. It's THAT worth it. The moment the baby's face came on the screen tears started rolling down my cheeks - that was OUR baby!! Not just any baby - OUR baby. I know it's silly and very obvious that it was our baby, but just knowing that those kicks I feel constantly have a face and I've now seen that face was incredible. Okay, okay I know you're dying to see pictures - here they are!

28 Weeks = Hello 3rd Trimester!!!

Week 28:

Pregnancy Stats:

How Far Along: 28 weeks

Size of baby: Chinese cabbage? - 2.5 lbs and 14.5 inches long - yowza!

Total Weight Gain: Current Weight: 145... tear.

Gender: Still hearing "I totally think it's a girl" - in fact both my cousin Jen and my friend Lacy (who has known me since 3rd grade) told me today that they think it's a girl. Time will tell!

Movement: Uhh.. yeah. And not just that - I found out this weekend that when I think the baby is "all balled up in front" - I'm actually having Braxton-Hicks Contractions. Oops. Didn't know that. Today they have been a little painful, but they don't last long so I think I'll be okay. :)

Sleep: Puppies are still getting booted off the bed nightly and I am getting so much awesome sleep. Still loving my Snoogle...

What I miss: Running, Running, and RUNNING!!! I am loving this weather and really wishing I could get out there and run a few miles in it. Jogging stroller just moved up to the top of my registry "wish list".

Cravings: Pei Wei Pad Thai - it still hasn't gotten old. You guys are probably tired of hearing about it (I know Casey is) but I cannot get enough of that stuff. Cap'n Crunch and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereals are up there too.

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks, weight gain, back aches..

Maternity Clothes: Bought a maternity support belt today- hoping that helps with my back and preventing stretch marks!


Best Moment this week: All the belly pats and love I got from my amazing friends this weekend at Leigh Anne's wedding. I seriously have the best friends in the world. If only we all lived in the same area code. Love you guys!
