Nom Nom Nom!!
On Sunday night Ellie had her first solid food! We had been putting this off because we read that starting a baby on food too early can cause them to have food allergies, but since we have no family history of food allergies on either side we decided to go ahead and try it out. Ellie's first food was Ella's Kitchen organic Apples, Pears, and Brown Rice. Her face was SO funny when she got that first taste. Check it out!
Bathing Beauty
This weekend we took Eleanor swimming for the first time in Casey's parents' pool. We had been preparing for this moment for a while with me buying cute bathing suits, sun hats, and searching for the perfect pool float for our girl. Finally we put her in the water and after a few minutes of being confused and a little cold, she loved it! Can't wait to spend the summer poolside with my adorable little sidekick.

Day 2
Muuuuuuuch better day today. Got to daycare early and Ellie was having a good time again. Though it's not my favorite course of action, daycare isn't really that bad at all.

Day Care
Well my Mom is no longer able to watch Ellie during the day so Casey and I had to make the extremely difficult decision to put Eleanor into daycare for the remaining 11 days of school. I woke up this morning at my normal time of 4:30 and immediately started crying. I woke Ellie up, fed her, and then put her back to sleep while I got ready and packed her things. I wasn't even this distraught when I left her for the first time, but something about handing over your baby to a stranger to care for her for 8+ hours is very unnerving. Don't get me wrong, the people at her school are lovely, but it was just very difficult for me to do. Casey and I dropped her off and I headed off to work bawling my eyes out for most of the day. Luckily there was a lovely fire scare at our school today which served as a distraction. Geez. And I thought Mondays were bad, enter the Tuesday from hell. Anyway, I made it through the day and Eleanor had a great time at school. I picked her up and she was giggling and smiling the rest of the afternoon. Here is a picture of her playing at daycare. Summer break cannot come fast enough.

4 months!
Eleanor turned 4 months last Friday and we've been so busy that I'm just now getting time to post about it. I cannot believe she's already 4 months old. In this short amount of time we have learned so much about Ellie.

- She hates being held like a baby unless she's nursing
- She loves being "flown" around by her Daddy like Superwoman
- She's becoming a lot more aware of her surroundings and of things going on around her
- She absolutely hates being in her car seat
- No matter how hard we try, she HAS to be swaddled when she sleeps (don't know how we're going to break her of that habit
- She LOVES her "Dolly" that her Nona got her
- She loves when we make silly sounds or sing silly songs to her

We all know that Eleanor is an extremely adorable, photogenic baby, but there are always bad pictures. This is by far the funniest.
