4 months!

Eleanor turned 4 months last Friday and we've been so busy that I'm just now getting time to post about it.  I cannot believe she's already 4 months old.  In this short amount of time we have learned so much about Ellie.

We know that:

  • She hates being held like a baby unless she's nursing
  • She loves being "flown" around by her Daddy like Superwoman
  • She's becoming a lot more aware of her surroundings and of things going on around her
  • She absolutely hates being in her car seat
  • No matter how hard we try, she HAS to be swaddled when she sleeps (don't know how we're going to break her of that habit
  • She LOVES her "Dolly" that her Nona got her
  • She loves when we make silly sounds or sing silly songs to her
We are also becoming aware of the fact that she is very strong... and strong willed.  When she wants something she fights for it.  Wants to be held a different way?  Strains until we move her.  Wants to watch the TV?  Wrenches her neck until she can see it.  Wants to stand up instead of be held?  Cries and makes her body go stiff until we let her.  We are in for an interesting 18+ years, but we wouldn't have it any other way.  We love that little girl more than we could ever possibly put into words.  Here are a few pictures of the always beautiful Eleanor.

Our happy girl at 4 months!
 Love those big baby blues!
Our two "firsts".  Our first "son" and our first daughter.

 And then there's this...

We all know that Eleanor is an extremely adorable, photogenic baby, but there are always bad pictures.  This is by far the funniest.

Ellie's Auntie Bakes (Sara Baker) says it reminds her of this:
